THE BRIDGE
The Bridge is the organization formed by the four, large downtown Des Moines churches – St. Ambrose Cathedral, St. Paul’s Cathedral, First United Methodist and St. John’s – for the sake of collaborative ministry to and with those who live and work downtown.  Along with seminars and retreats, The Bridge sponsors the Connection Café, a free mid-day meal provided to those who are homeless and the working poor five days per week..  The Café is located next to the YWCA on Grand Ave.  Volunteers from many other churches and civic group also assist in providing and serving the noon meal.
