Choir directors
|
Anna Wolf Anna
will be directing our combined middle and high school youth choir, Nexus /
VIP. Anna (pronounced "Ahna") is the choral director and vocal music teacher
at Hoover High School and is beginning her second year there. She previously
taught at Dowling High School and at Prairie City/Monroe schools. She is
also the jazz repertoire and standards chair for the ICDA. Anna hails from
Bismarck, ND. Anna takes over from our former Youth Director, Stephanie Oberhart.
Frances Paterik Fran is
the new director of “Bell Canto,” our hand bell choir. Fran is the choral
director and vocal music teacher at Merrill Middle School. She is the Alto
Section Leader in the St. John’s Cathedral Choir, and was the dramatic
director of last spring's “Once Upon a Parable” production. Frances directed
the bell choir at First Christian for several years, but she is probably
best known in the area for her many acting and singing roles at the
Playhouse and Ingersoll Dinner Theater. Former director Bill Bensen is
taking pre-med classes while working full time in preparation for applying
to medical school.
