What exactly is OSJ?
The order of St. John is an organization of confirmed young people in St.
John's
who strive to be faithful to the call as Christians in:
- Their character and personal lives
- Loyalty to their church
- Reverence for its worship
Certain specific duties are assigned to all who become members of the
Order of St. John's.
- Serving as acolyte
- Serving as crucifer (carries the cross in at opening of service and at
the close)
- Serving as banner, torch or bible bearer or helping with other needs
as they arise.
We meet in Do Drop In, the second Sunday each month to have short
training sessions and sign up for the following month's services. We serve
at all Sunday worship services and special festival days in the church
calendar. We are a part of the Music and Worship Ministry Team and follow
its guidelines, also.
OSJ Schedule
Please take note of what OSJ personnel are serving at the 8:45 am & 11:00
am services. The Order of St. John’s is a very important part of our
worship services. If there is a member need at a service listed below,
please contact Wanda Harvard at 284-5696
if you are able to serve.
