Parking for Wednesday Recitals
Space is limited, but here are the best options:

• All parking spaces in the lot adjacent to the north side of the church are available.
• Street parking at the city meters.

Friends of the Arts at St. John's wishes to thank all those who support these programs by their attendance, financial contributions, or by spreading the word to their friends and co-workers about this unique opportunity for mid-week refreshment. We also wish to thank the musicians who give so generously of their time and talent. Watch for word of the 2008-2009 season lineup this coming fall.

Midweek Music receives Bravo Grant
The Bravo Greater Des Moines board of Directors has approved a grant in the amount of $2500 to support the Midweek Music and lunch program sponsored by the Friends of the Arts at St. John's Lutheran Church. "Midweek Music" is a new name for a series that began nearly twenty years ago with the name "Wednesday Noon Recitals" the idea is simple: provide a short, high-quality musical experience to downtown workers and residents that provides a refreshing respite, or "musical oasis" to an otherwise stressful  environment. With this grant, Bravo of Greater Des Moines recognizes the contribution the "Midweek Music" program provides to the Des Moines area.
