Meet the Youth Director

Hello!
My name is Megan Clausen. Here are 25 things about me that you may or may not already know!  (Yup, this is taken from Facebook!)

  1. I am 25 years old.
  2. I grew up in Newton, IA…well, mostly. (I lived in North Canon, OH and Indianapolis, IN for shorts stints during my childhood.)
  3. I love, love Milk Duds.
  4. I graduated from Wartburg College (the best college ever)! Go Knights!
  5. I have a sister. She is pretty much amazing in every way imaginable.
  6. I once got an award for having the neatest handwriting. It was in the first grade and I remember the teacher saying, “She doesn’t always get her work done because she is usually talking too much, but when she does it is very neat.” I am proud of this fact. :)
  7. I am a very creative person and believe that God put me on this earth to create beautiful things.
  8. I check my Facebook entirely too much.
  9. I am a huge fan of the Twilight book series by Stephenie Meyer. I used to claim that I read them because a lot of the youth that I worked with were reading them, but now I have embraced the fact that I love them just as much as every teen girl in America does. I don’t mind acting like a teenager every once in awhile…ok, maybe a little more than that! ; )
  10. I am overly obsessed with buying colorful, ceramic mixing bowls for my kitchen.
  11. I LOVE Disney Pixar movies…well, pretty much any kid’s movie.
  12. Going to the movie theater to see movies is one of my favorite things to do.
  13. When I was little I cut three big holes in my new dance outfit and then told my mom I snagged them on my bed (not even a good lie). She was more than a little mad at me.
  14. I get paid to hang out with amazing young people and learn something new every day!
  15. I have gone swimming in 3 of the 4 oceans on earth (the Indian, the Pacific, and the Atlantic).
  16. I love to go to new places and meet new people.
  17. I am addicted to Diet Coke.
  18. I could pretty much live on chips and salsa.
  19. I LOVE my family! I am super close with all my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents. They are the coolest family I know! ; )
  20. I try really hard to love and serve as Jesus loved and served, but it is difficult.
  21. I love Jesus.
  22. I am very passionate about photography.
  23. I love to read blogs about scrapbooking, but rarely do I ever finish a scrapbook for myself!
  24. Decorating for Christmas is one of my favorite things to do. Taking down Christmas decorations is not one of my favorite things to do. So the Christmas décor may last until February at my house.
  25. My favorite color right now is purple, but not normal Crayola violet. I like the super bright, pinkish, dark purple…if that makes any sense at all!
